1Build the soundtrack
Import a playlist from your preferred streaming service, ask Bopstarr to curate one, add songs manually or paste a complete list with Bulk Import.
Spotify, YouTube and YouTube Music, Deezer, Apple Music and TIDAL are supported. Some services require you to sign in.
Describe your theme, decade, genre or occasion and let Bopstarr help create a playlist.
Release years are central to the game. Yearify checks your songs against Bopster’s database so you can review questionable or remastered dates before playing.
Use six additional tools, including bulk editing, smart cleanup and duplicate removal, to prepare a reliable deck.
2Make it yours
Choose from more than 60 card designs or upload your own artwork. Adjust fonts, sizes, colors, QR placement and other details before generating your printable cards.
Print at home, cut, play.
3Press play
Scan a QR card or load a playlist. Bopster hides the song details while the music plays. When everyone has guessed, press Reveal to show the title, artist and release year.
Players join on their own phones. The host controls playback and reveal, while every player submits a year and optional song or artist guess. The closest year earns a point.
The closest year guess gets the first chance to name the song or artist. A wrong answer can be stolen by another player.
Show three possible answers. The closest year guess can earn an extra point by choosing the correct title or artist.
Connect a TV or Chromecast for a shared view of the current card, session QR code, join code and multiple-choice options.
Core playback can convert supported song links to a matching YouTube version at no cost. Spotify preview playback is available on the host device but not in Big Screen mode. TIDAL HiFi playback requires a TIDAL subscription and can work with Big Screen.
